In Loving Memory of Mona Lowery

A Faithful Servant, Leader, and Beloved Daughter of Tabernacle of Faith

It is with profound sadness, yet with faith in God's promises, that Tabernacle of Faith Church announces the passing of our beloved Mona Lowery.

Mona was more than a member of Tabernacle of Faith she was a devoted servant, leader, and an integral part of our church family. She worked tirelessly for the ministry she loved, faithfully serving wherever she was needed. Her personal motto reflected the way she lived her life:

"Whatever I find my hands to do, I will do."

And Mona did just that.

Throughout the years, Mona served Tabernacle of Faith in numerous leadership capacities, including Administrative Officer, Choir Director, Youth Department President, and Church Anniversary Vice President. No title, however, could fully describe all that she gave to this ministry. If there was work to be done, Mona was willing to put her hands to it.

Her service was especially meaningful because Tabernacle of Faith was part of her family's legacy. As the daughter of our founder, the late Superintendent John Mitchell Sr., Mona remained committed to helping carry forward the vision and foundation her father established. She loved her church, she loved God's people, and above all, Mona loved the Lord.

Those who knew Mona knew her as an incredibly selfless and giving person. She would give you her last without hesitation. Her heart for others, her dedication, her strength, and her willingness to serve touched countless lives. Mona was loved by so many because Mona loved so many.

She was also a fighter. She fought with courage and strength until she could fight no longer. Although our hearts are heavy because we will miss her presence on this side, we find comfort and joy in knowing that her fight is over, her labor is complete, and she is now fully healed in the presence of Jesus.

Take your rest, Mona.

Thank you for every song, every prayer, every meeting, every program, every young person you encouraged, every task you completed, every sacrifice you made, and every act of love you gave to Tabernacle of Faith. Your work, your love, and your legacy will not be forgotten.

We will miss you deeply, but we rejoice knowing that the servant who worked so faithfully has gone home to be with the Lord she loved.
